Description:

Black wings with a faint brown stripe at the bottom and a blueish abdomen. There is an orange collar around the neck. I'm thinking this might be the Grapeleaf Skeletonizer?

I think the moth is just distorted in the photo. Here's a better photo which looks more like yours: http://bugguide.net/node/view/799713/bgimage
My moth seems more elongate than the one you suggested, yours is more squarish. Does that mean anything?
Congratulations on your first moth spotting, too! :-D
Harrisina americana and Ctenucha virginica are both very similar, although H. americana is smaller, and Ctenucha virginica has a shiny bluish thorax.
