Brown Honeyeater

This honeyeater has a magnificent loud singing voice for such a small bird. Nomadic following the flowering of favoured plants (large flocks of mixed honeyeater species are migrating north through northern NSW now - May 2014). Colour is a pale grey body with almost indistinct flecks on chest, darker grey/brown back, wings, tail with edging in olive yellow, dark slightly curved beak, tiny yellow dot behind eyes, beak edge lined with yellow near front of eyes. Feeds on nectar, also insects, lerps, honeydew.
