Description:

Sunlight gives this spider a golden glint in its eye. Large thin grey toned spider, long legs, residing in a messy web of a few strands reaching to the ground from the side of a tin shed. The eyes are large and black. catches prey by throwing or casting a flexible net of web and wrapping it quickly once caught. Normally fairly slow moving this spider was walking quickly to get back in position. Family: Deinopidae.

Habitat:

Found throughout Australia. This one in garden setting adjacent to dry woodlands in north east NSW.
