Gotta visit Australia. Soon. So many plants are seem familiar to us from North America. And yet, they're ... not, they're "just a jump to the left, and a step to the ri-ai-ai-ai-aight!"
Getting there. I found some info about Drumsticks and Conesticks. I think maybe this looks more like a Conestick ... but, then again, I'd never heard of Drumsticks or Conesticks until last week, so I'm no expert, eh? Susanne, the cone is covered in fine hair, the cone is about 25 to 30 mm long & the plant is an evergreen.
Really interesting. Is the cone covered in fine, fine "hair" or does it just look that way in the photo? Do you know if it's an evergreen? Australia has some very unique and surprising plants ... thanks.
