Description:

Also known as Bog Hoverfly. A large, bright species with 3 narrow orange broken bars on matte black. It is around 18 mm long. The face is yellow with a dark black central line. The sides of the chest have some yellow areas. White-barred peat hoverfly https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/848554760 is of the same genus.

Habitat:

Spotted in marshland near a lake.
