Description:

ドクガ科(Lymantriidae).
japanese name: ナチキシタドクガ.
caterpillar of Ilema eurydice(ブドウドクガ) is very similar but food plant is Grapes, this one is trees and I found it in mountain, so this may be Ilema nachiensis.

Habitat:

mountain.
food plant: Quercus glauca(アラカシ), Alnus sieboldiana(オオバヤシャブシ), Swida controversa(ミズキ), Mallotus japonicus(アカメガシワ), Ehretia acuminata(チシャノキ).
