Hi Keith, As far as research suggests color anomolies in the American Lobster are the following:
Blue - 1 in 2 million
Red - 1 in 10 million
Yellow - 1 in 30 million
Orange or Calico - 1 in 30 million
Different colours on the left and right - 1 in 50 million
Albino - 1 in 100 million
The colour of the lobster you have posted fits within the normal range of colours of the American Lobster - dark bluish green to greenish brown, redder on the body and claws, and greener on the legs - and doesn't fit into the above categories. Naturally, not every specimen will fall exactly into the above colouring and there might be some slight anomalies like in the darker specimen you posted. Sorry. I hope you aren't insulted. It seems that at least 80% of the spottings in the mission are erroneous and I have been working on removing those that don't fit into the parameters of the mission. Have a lovely day!
Hi Keith, The colours of this lobster fall within the normal range of the species. I have removed this from the mission Rare Colour Morphs. Thank you for your understanding.
