Field Notes

Description:

Osprey family. Nest located top tall tree near gravel road. First photo shows parent and one kid eyeing me and sounding the alarm. The other two kids could care less. Second photo is eight minutes later.

Habitat:

Located at edge of large upland scrub area and upland deciduous forest. Several lakes and a river are within a mile or two away.

Notes:

Spotted at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge.
