Field Notes

Description:

The Northern Leopard Frog, Lithobates pipiens, is a bright green frog with brown patches, hence the "Leopard" name. It has two dorsolateral ridges which are beige in color.

Habitat:

Found at Irwin Prairie State Nature Preserve, which consisted mostly of prairie wetlands.
