Field Notes
Description:
The main body of the specimen is slightly over 2". Overall coloring is yellow with a darker abdomen.
Habitat:
High desert grassland approximately 3-4 mi away from oak forest. 4500' elevation. Specimen was caught outside the front door of a residence.
Notes:
Having lived in AZ most of my life, I have not been a stranger to sun spiders. This one however is one of the larger specimens I have ever seen.
