Field Notes

Description:

This one was tiny. Thin and small. Tail was maroon-ish in contrast to the dark colour of the body. Slim limbs. Bulbous eyes. Roughly triangular head.
I understand the red-tail indicates its juvenile status.

Habitat:

I think it was trying to get out of the way when my backyard was being swept clean of small mangoes that are dropping off the trees and rotting.

Notes:

Not a snake. Absolutely non-venomous.
