Description:
This moth, found in the Eastern United States, has a wingspan of 26–32 mm (1.0–1.3 in). In the southern US, there are more than 2 generations per year; the larvae feed on maple trees.

Notes:
I planted a maple tree last year; perhaps this is why I have spotted this moth in my yard for the first time.
