Description:

A red-brown Assassin Bug with prominent brown and white banding on the edges of the abdomen. The thorax has 2 rather small protrusions, one on each side. The membranous part of the wings is a smoky dark brown. The body is quite hairy and the legs are red-brown with only a hint of banding. This was about 2.4 cm in length. Family Reduviidae.

Habitat:

On a wall near lights at night, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico 2,200 meters.
