Description:

Robin-sized bird, black marked with white as shown (male).

Habitat:

Spotted on a lawn adjacent to an artificial reservoir in an urban residential neighborhood. Some trees, including cottonwood, elm, and pines.

Notes:

We had an overnight snow storm, causing "fallout" of unusual birds in unusual numbers. This is normally a species of the prairies and plains.
