Description:
Deciduous shrub 1–5 m high, though sometimes it can scramble higher into the crowns of taller trees. Its stems are covered with small, sharp, hooked prickles, which aid it in climbing. Pinnate leaves , with 5-7 leaflets. The flowers vary between a deep pink and white although they are usually pale pink. They are up to 6 cm in diameter with five petals. The fruit is an oval 1.5–2 cm red-orange hip.The fruit is high in vitamin C.
The dog rose blooms from May to July and gives fruits at the end of summer and beginning of autumn.

Spotted at the banks of a dried brook mixed with brambles. Holm oak and pine tree forest
