Field Notes

Description:

A psyllid insect hiding in a folded leaf. This species appears to live freely without a lerp covering and has a 'fluffy bum"

Notes:

These two psyllids were cohabiting with a mite and several Glycaspis psyllids. Glycaspis are the tiny yellow ones in some photos. This is the first large fluffy one that I have seen.

Thanks Leuba. I still missed it. That's corrected now.
Sorry Martin, I was referring to your notes -"Glycopsis"
I am not sure if the free-living ones are Glycaspis. I suspect they are different.
This appears to be a free living psyllid bug (nymph) that does not build a cover (Ierp). I saw another here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/37163020
