Field Notes

Description:

Small finch with happy song. Males have a black cap and olive back. Wings are black and white patterned. From throat to belly is yellow. Females are light brown to olive with faded white wing bars

Habitat:

Fields and mixed woods. These were spotted near a field trying to get water from a horses trough.
