Field Notes

Description:

This is a tiny scorpion that we found in the bathroom floor of our wooden cabin in Monteverde. Outside was very rainy so the animal probably took shelter in our cabin. However, given its potential dangerousness we had to evict it back to inhospitable nature after a few pictures.
Its size was perhaps no more than 2-3 cm.

Habitat:

Woodland area in Monteverde, Costa Rica.

Notes:

Scorpions are predatory arthropod animals of the order Scorpiones within the class Arachnida.
