Description:
Female Black-throated Blue Warblers are a plain bird with a white line over the eye and mature females have a white spot on the edge of the wing like the one in the second picture. The first picture is a first year female, lacking the white spot.
Habitat:
Heald Orchard conservation area continues to produce lots of warblers migrating north, feeding on the many caterpillars on the apple trees.
