Field Notes

Description:

Saw this one in Mrugavani National Park in Hyderabad, I think it is a juvenile as it was only about 30 cm long compared to the adults that can be more than 170 cm.

Habitat:

Grass lands to dry forest, most of Indian Subcontinent. I have also seen them in Tal Chapar wildlife sanctuary, those pics are in the link attached.
