Description:

This butterfly chose purple flowers over red ,yellow and white flowers.There were yellow skippers hovering around and they chose yellow flowers over any other colors. Any relationship to that?!

Some evidence indicates that butterflies may learn which color flowers tend to produce their favorite types of nectar, using color as a visual cue when hunting for these plants. http://homeguides.sfgate.com/flower-colors-butterflies-like-pollinate-60735.html
