Description:
The least heron is one of the smallest herons in the world. The elusive heron is mostly brown with streaking on its throat and underparts, dark greenish black cap and back, and yellow eyes and bill.
Habitat:
Spotted along a canal with dense vegetation near the Gulf Coast in southwestern Louisiana.
