Field Notes

Habitat:

An Australian native, it grows in upland area (drier) as well as in completely aquatic locations.

Notes:

In South Florida this invasive pest has taken over large areas of the Everglades. It is also seen in yards and parks as an ornamental. Bees seem to love it (this one was covered in them). The paper like bark is very distinctive.
