Description:

This beautiful heron was trying to swallow the tank cleaner fish (Plecostomus) ,which was dropped from another bird !

Habitat:

On Kandy lake !

Notes:

Tank cleaner fish are becoming invasive in Sril Lnkan fresh water sources ,as the breeding of other freshwater fish are threatened by this fish ! They can be found in numerous numbers in resoviors and rivers! It seems that no predators are present for these tank cleaner fish ! Well here also the heron tried to swallow the tank cleaner fish but threw it away after a tiring attempt !
