Description:

Black-bodied, brown-headed bird ~20 cm long.

Habitat:

Sub-arctic montane ecosystem.

Notes:

Spotted at a turnout along the Icefields Parkway north of Lake Louise.

Thanks for the ID, J. I have edited the spotting to reflect it. I've heard of cowbirds, and thought this might be one, but since my bird knowledge approaches zero, I thought I'd post it as unidentified and see if my supposition was confirmed. Thanks again.
