Field Notes

Description:

Plentiful mushrooms on this fallen tree. The caps are golden at the center, becoming paler at the edges. The stipes were hard and started pale near the cap and got a little bit more brown further down.

Habitat:

Growing out of a fallen Sitka Spruce stump near the root area where it didn't have moss growing.
