Description:
Found this Lady Bug Larva chowing down on some nearby Ladybug eggs. I had no idea they did that.
Ladybug eggs are small and yellow and are usually laid on the backside of a leaf, near aphid colonies. This ensures that young ladybug larvae will have a food source as soon as they hatch. Ladybugs also lay eggs that are infertile, or won't hatch, amongst the fertile eggs as a first meal for their offspring.
Habitat:
The tree outside my house. Don't know the type.
Notes:
This was taken with a 300mm lens on my Canon 7D. Usually most are iPhone shots, but I lost my little macro lens attachment for it!!
