In Greece we boil it in water and we eat it as a salad, with olive oil, salt and lemon (or vinegar)... Really tasty!
Purslane is not a spurge...if you found it wild in your yard it is likely a weedy purslane. Whether you pull it up is up to you. Here's an article on edible weeds. http://www.wildmanstevebrill.com/Clippings.folder/SinkYourTeeth.html
I wouldn't worry about pulling these out. It is likely an insect will be able to utilize the plant for food or a habitat.
Someone said purslane other splurge. Googled splurge that is a weed.
This other spotting had a few purple flowers. I bought my house oct 12 and these came up in spring.
Is this a weed??? Do I pull it out???

Looks like you have 2 different plants here. The first one looks like purslane. You should separate each species into seperate spottings.
