Field Notes

Description:

This coral fungus was sparsely branched and simple. About 50 mm high, the tips of branches were either rounded or lobed with a very pale brown tinge.
A white powdery substance at the base of the fungal clump (pic 2) could have been spores.

Habitat:

Spotted in damp leaf litter in a wet forest with native and non-native trees.

Notes:

This species is said to be variable in form and colour.
