Adorable hopper! Please consider adding to the global mission, The Hoppers: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8096480
As Leuba points below it really looks like a type of plant hopper. Check out on this line. Definitely not a dragonfly. :-)
Very cool little creature .. well spotted Linda!
Looks like Hemisphaerius species from family Issidae. You could check this out. They are planthoppers.
Linda, this is an amazing little creature. Could you please write something about it's size, the plant it was on and the place you found it. Thanks. We'd be so happy to know what it is and hope some one can help.
Issidae, Issid Planthopper. I only know Hemisphaerius sp., but I am not sure if this is the correct genus for yours. http://www.nbaii.res.in/insectpests/images/Hemisphaerius1.jpg https://www.flickr.com/photos/rundstedt/3973386451/ http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/110726055 http://www.nbaii.res.in/insectpests/Hemisphaerius.php
