Field Notes

Description:

Low, prostrate creeping herbaceous (not woody) flowering plant growing near a moist sinkhole in a rosemary scrub in Deltona Florida.

Flowers and leaves are small; flowers are no more than 1/2" across. 4 petals, white .

Habitat:

Along the perimeter of a moist sinkhole found in a rosemary scrub habitat in central Florida. (Volucia county).

Notes:

Just about the only non-woody plant I saw on this hike; it's just too hot and dry for soft plants- they'd dry out in a blink!

An amazing place!
