I'm glad this came up because I checked a few of my insects and I had mistakenly placed some in this same mission when they weren't pollinating in the spotting. Looks like I'm still guilty of the same thing! Hehe... ;-)
i have corrected my previous contributions just now - hope it's alright !
Your understanding is very much appreciated. Some missions are quite specific and others are a bit broad. It's always good to read the details to see what the mission creator is looking for. That said, it's sometimes easy to miss it as well. I know I've been guilty in the past! :-) I look forward to your future spottings!
ok thanks for your explanation - i'll consider that in future
Hi, Martin. The mission states "Help us to collect pictures of insects pollinating flowers," so what they're looking for are insects that are actively shown doing the pollinating. While your lovely clouded magpie may BE a pollinator, it's not shown in the act of pollination in your spotting. I hope this helps clear up why spottings were removed from the mission.
um sorry - you deleted most of my contributions - crazy ?!? man! please notice you csn see on the pictures - the beetles, flies and moths feed on pollen or nectar ... wtf ?!
i thought it would feed on nektar like other geometridae! please, can you give me any link where i can get further information?
Hi MartinUrban. Thanks for participating in Pollinating Insects of the World. Please notice this mission is only for insects pollinating flowers. For more information please read the mission instructions.
