Description:
Easily recognized by the iridescent markings. Darkish grey wings 37-50 mm. Males have a iridescent blue spot on the underside of their forewing which females lack.
Habitat:
Spotted at the Falcon Lake State Park butterfly garden.
Notes:
Larvae feed on mistletoe, live oak, western sycamore, and desert ironwood. Range in southern portions of U.S.
