Field Notes

Description:

Light cream color with angular black patterns. Very bright red/pink on the lower wings, though I wasn't able to get a good photo of that. A little over an inch long.

Notes:

This one WAS alive, but it had an injury behind the head and wasn't very responsive at first. It did eventually fly off into the trees.

Hi johanna, your suggestion is not a bad one but I am pretty sure that Euplagia quadripunctaria does not occur in North America.
