Field Notes

Description:

About 0,5 cm long.
Covered in a slime with inside looks like small worms??
Was together several other spieces who where about 3 a 4 times bigger.
The big ones just hanging underneath a leaf while this smalder one was crawling around.

Oh. The wait is over. Just have read in a related spotting's comment, that this is not an infection, but the opposite. It is. some kind of symbiosis, an unique defense mechanism for not to be eaten...! (:
Watching this horrific scene, many other things, but "cute" I would think of...!(?) Whether this poor caterpillar is about to be eaten alive by those revolting worms I wonder..? Will wait for answer by some experts around. Thanks for interesting spotting!
