Description:

This moth has such long, thick palpi that it has to carry them up and over the top of the moth. They are longer than the antennae and extend the entire length of the body. They might take the place of the antennae for sensing chemical substances in the air. The moth is about 1 cm long.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
