Field Notes

Description:

Short shrubby tree with dying yellow leaves and droopy foliage. bark also appears to be in rough shape. Leaves are almost entirely gone, and the ones left appear smaller at the bottom than at the top, and has held on to more south facing leaves than north It is approximately 3.2 meters tall.

Habitat:

The Golden Eclipse Lilac prefers a moist climate, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. it also prefers full sun exposure, but will tolerate a variety of climates and conditions, including inner city life.

Notes:

Although the leaves are supposed to be a greenish/golden color, this specimen has shown signs of early leave shedding, and diseased bark.
