Description:

Family: Sphingidae, Subfamily: Macroglossinae. Small Sphinx Moths. TL: 28-38 mm. Wingspan: 45-65 mm. A common moth that has light brown to pale green FW with a thin orange border and wide bands of darker shading, boldest beyond outer PM line. Dull orange FW has a brown or greenish patch at anal angle. Hosts: Virginia creeper, grape, viburnum. (Also known as Hog Sphinx Moth

Habitat:

Woodlands. Came to porch light.

Notes:

2nd one spotted. About 1 1/2 weeks apart. This one in better condition.
