Cordyceps fungi

I spotted this while hiking in Tupana Aru reserve. I had a talk with my guide before my first hike at the lodge, since I would be staying 6 days, I wanted us on the same page. He was an exceptional guide and never rushed me when I would spend time setting up photos with my tripod and remote. However, he wouldn't point out any insects sprouting Cordyceps. I had to spot and ask to stop for all of them. I guess he thought I wasn't interested in insects covered in fungus. I guess that didn't come up in our first talk! Haha! Have to remember that for next time.
