Description:

pink fungus /

Habitat:

growing on a large willow tree branch on a beach beside the river. apologies for the rather badly focused photograph.

Notes:

Since posting this query, I have researched further and wonder if it is the lichenicolous fungus Illosporiopsis christiansenni which grows on Physcia tenella and occasionally Xanthoria parietina lichen? Can anyone confirm (or not!).
