Field Notes

Description:

Herb. Leaves are green dorsally but the ventral surface is purple-ish. Small white flowers.

Habitat:

Purchased as a potted plant from a centre selling medicinal plants.

Notes:

This plant is believed to be rich in Iodine and used to make Tincture of Iodine. Apparently the leaves have anti-septic qualities and can be used to address small nicks and cuts.
