Grasshoppers have only short antennae, so your is definitely a katydid. There are sometimes other names for these, like bush cricket in UK (versus the true crickets), or long-horned grasshoppers, but I would only use the terms katydid (US) for Tettigonidae (suborder Ensifera) and grasshoppers for the real grasshoppers (suborder Califera). This to avoid misunderstanding. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tettigoniidae https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ensifera https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grasshopper
Thanks, bayucca! I have looked online for Tettigoniidae and inded it seems either a katydid or a grasshopper. I leave it at the family level.
Tettigoniidae, female katydid.
