Description:

Two black and red Leaf Beetles with pink thoraces mating. These are phenomenal jumpers, as evidenced by the greatly enlarged hind femora. About 5 mm in length. Family Chrysomelidae.

Habitat:

Rancho Nuevo Park, 10 km west of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
