Field Notes

Description:

The male sparrow is feeding two chicks.

Habitat:

Urban.

Notes:

Regular visitors to my bird table. Once common, their numbers have fallen sharply mostly because of habitat loss, changes in our urban lifestyle that denies them access to food grains (packaged products brought sealed) and also some say due to radiation from Cell phone towers. People are becoming conscious of the need to lend a helping hand...hopefully these birds will bounce back.
