Description:
5-6 1/4 inches. The only swallow in the East with metallic blue upperparts. clear white underparts.
Habitat:
Lake shores, flooded meadows, marshes and streams. Birdhouses.
Notes:
Nesting: 4-6 white eggs in a feather-lined cup of grass placed in a hole in a tree or in a nest box
