Field Notes

Description:

Our local creeks have been overflowing their banks quite often this spring as we have had numerous bouts of heavy rain and storms. Not long after a storm, we came across this little fish that had been left stranded when the water receded back into the creek. My brother speculated it was some type of blue gill; I know nothing about fish so I have no idea.

Habitat:

Bolin Creek woods
