Field Notes

Description:

Bumblebee mimics as you can see from the coloration and through evolution have developed translucent wings similar bees. Feeding on nectar and flapping it's wings at about 14 times a second.

Habitat:

Open fields and forest floors.

Notes:

A few were seen in the same area, with some aggression displayed between a couple.
