Field Notes

Notes:

A couple nested on the backyard pond and had four babies. About a week after they were born there was a loud honking ruckus overnight. A couple days later only the mother and two babies are left. Mom has a broken leg but is eating and flying at other geese if they get too close. There are no coyotes on Martha's Vineyard so it is believed the culprit was raccoons.
