Field Notes

Description:

Flat crust that is formed along the surface of a log. Upper parts are irregular and dirty white to tan in color, lower parts are dark.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Growing on a log. Blydenburgh County Park, New York.

Notes:

They remind me a bit of molars. ;-)
