Field Notes

Description:

Pale grey. In photograph you can see small cell-like patterns on skin. Does not seem to have stinging hairs.

Habitat:

On my neighbour's Crown of Thorn plant (Euphorbia milii)...which is surprising given the white milky latex which I supposed was a deterrent.

Notes:

After 5 years of killing caterpillars, moths and everything that moves I am happy to say my neighbour has developed an interest in these creepy-crawlies and now tells me when she spots something in her plants...and follows their development with interest. She showed me the photo on her mobile yesterday and called me over today since the caterpillar was still munching away. Help with ID, please.
